Perceptive Software, developer of content management services for enterprise, along with ImageNow document management, imaging, and workflow, has launched its Image Now 6.6 version.

This latest release boasts of a 64-bit server infrastructure for supreme performance in upscale enterprise environments.

Darren Knipp, Chief technology officer of Perceptive Software said, “With this release, Perceptive Software can now take full advantage of 64-bit operating systems to provide front-line scalability and performance at a compelling price point compared to systems that run in a sub-optimal 32-bit compatibility mode on 64-bit systems.”

The advantages of the 64-bit include

  • Applications are allowed to go beyond the 2-gigabyte limit for the addressable memory of the 32-bit systems
  • Reduced dependence on slow processing of disk-based operations of the virtual memory
  • Consistent performance in upscale enterprises

The Image Now 6.6 is a multi-threaded application that can easily run on multiple cores. ImageNow is created to handle the next generation of 64-bit processors that have even more cores than before.

“In practical terms, this will mean many more simultaneous users supported by a single server while maintaining superior performance,” Knipp added. “ImageNow 64-bit technology prepares our customers’ ECM systems for almost unlimited future expansion.”

Image Now 6.6. Also aims to enhance the Business insight, eForms, Retention policy Manager, and other offerings of Perceptive Software.
